REKINDLED FIRE
Historical Drama / Family Saga Series
Inspired by the true story of the creator’s grandparents, Set in Louisiana between 1939 and 1971, Rekindled Fire follows Harry and Fannie as they navigate love, racism, faith, poverty and starting a family ending with twelve children. Their story begins on a Louisiana sugar cane plantation in the Jim Crow South, the series explores their journey through the Great Depression, World War II, and the Civil Rights Movement as Harry rises into becoming a respected preacher and voting rights advocate while Fannie, despite being illiterate, discovers her creative voice as a playwright. Spanning generations, Rekindled Fire is an emotional family saga about survival, sacrifice, resilience, and the enduring power of hope in the face of systemic oppression.
