Tawanna L. Moore is a Louisiana-born writer, playwright, educator, speaker, and multidisciplinary storyteller whose work blends faith, humor, healing, romance, family dynamics, and emotionally honest storytelling. A proud alumni of Grambling State University where she studied Theatre Education, Moore creates stories rooted in the complexity of the human experience — particularly within Black families, Southern culture, faith communities, and overlooked voices.

An author, playwright, and screenwriter, Moore is the creator of the published works The ME Choice and 22 Pieces of ME, two deeply personal projects centered around self-discovery, healing, identity, and emotional growth. Her writing style combines relatable humor, vulnerability, spoken-word influence, and real-life experiences to create stories that entertain while encouraging reflection and conversation.

In addition to her literary work, Moore has written several stage plays and original film and television concepts including Triggers, Johnson Meets the Johnsons, The Struggle Is Real, Growing Pains, If College Walls Could TALK, It’s a Family Affair, and Just the 2 of US. Her projects often explore mental health, relationships, community, spirituality, identity, generational trauma, and redemption through layered characters and emotionally grounded storytelling.

Moore first discovered the power of writing as a child after experiencing profound loss and adversity at an early age. Through imagination, poetry, journaling, and storytelling, she found both escape and purpose — a foundation that continues to shape her creative voice today.

Currently a middle school educator, Moore remains passionate about literacy, youth empowerment, motivational speaking, and creating meaningful stories across books, theatre, television, and film. Much of Moore’s storytelling is inspired by her experiences as an educator, mother, woman of faith, and lifelong observer of human relationships and resilience. Whether through comedy, drama, spoken word, or inspirational storytelling, her mission is to create work that makes people laugh, think, heal, and feel seen.

“If my words touch one heart or change one life, then my work is well done, and my living is not in vain.” — Tawanna L. Moore
